The New Year

Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a fun New Years eve. Here everything was good. For Christmas, like I said in my last post, we went up to the finca (country house). Here they celebrate Christmas mostly on Christmas eve. So, we gave each other presents on Christmas eve. It was also alot of fun to be with the family (extended family) for a week. After we came back from the finca, we had our own little Christmas. We had so many presents just for the extended family, that we couldn't bring our presents for each other. So, that why we had our own little Christmas.

I think one of the best parts of the holidays, was New Years eve weekend. On the 29th we began our drive to Bogota, the capital. It was only supposed to be a one day drive, but there was a ton of traffic so it turned into two days. And when I say a ton I mean A TON. To give you an idea, what took us 4 hours to drive through on the way there, took us about 30 minutes on the way home. Yeah, pretty bad. On that night (29th) we stayed at a hotel in a city named Honda (pronounced onda). In the morning we finish our drive and arrived at our Grandpa's house at about lunch time. While we were there we rode horses, milked cows, and just enjoyed being with our Grandpa who we hadn't seen for a long time. His house is in the country I think a few hours outside of Bogota, but it could be closer then I think. When we left, we left at about 10:30 and got home after dark but I don't know what time :D

So, thats whats new since last time I wrote.I'll keep you posted. Like I always say, keep emailing because we like to know whats going on in the US too!
